Chinese Tourists Show Support for Falun Gong While Receiving Fliers from Practitioners in Switzerland

The ancient city of Lucerne is a famous tourist spot that has attracted people from all over the world, including travelers from China. With more and more Chinese tourists arriving, Falun Gong practitioners in Switzerland realized that Lucerne is a good place to explain the facts, spread the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and urge people to withdraw from the evil regime. Practitioners living in Switzerland would take turns spending five days in Lucerne to distribute Falun Gong materials and tell people the facts about Falun Gong.

Many interesting incidents happened during interactions with Chinese tourists. We would like to report them.

1. Chinese Tourists: "Falun Gong is good!"

One day a large tour bus stopped near Lake Lucerne, and a large group of Chinese tourists got off. Practitioners approached them, greeted them and handed out the Nine Commentaries and other such materials. "Falun Gong is good!" was the response of one of the tourists, which was echoed by the others. Almost every tourist on the bus received our materials.

The voice of a Chinese tourist saying "Falun Gong is good!" indicates Chinese people's awareness about Falun Gong. However, because of the ongoing persecution in China, people cannot express their true thoughts. In China, saying the words, "Falun Gong is good!" would likely get someone jailed. When this person came to Switzerland, a free country, and met Falun Gone practitioners, he had a chance to express his true feelings from the bottom of his heart. We were deeply moved by this and delighted that these Chinese tourists know the facts. We said, "Falun Gong is good!" as a departing greeting and shook hands.

2. "You're doing a great job. I support you!"

One day in June of 2007, a tourist from China received material distributed by our practitioners near the lake. He told us, "I understand Falun Gong and often follow its situation via the Internet." When we asked him what the people in China thought about Jiang Zemin's evil persecution of Falun Gong, he told us that he is an educated individual in China and could speak on behalf of the educated people there. Most of them know the truth about Falun Gong. They are against what Jiang has done, but cannot speak out. Of course, there are still some people who don't yet know the truth. Only a few individuals support Jiang's actions. Anyway, all the people in China who know the truth sympathize with and support Falun Gong. Most people oppose it [silently] or are tired of this persecution.

He continued, "I have traveled to many places. I see Falun Gong practitioners distributing materials and urging people to withdraw from CCP. You are doing a great job. I support your actions! This is not only my personal opinion, but also represents the opinion of a certain portion of the people in China."

3. "Falun Gong is China's Hope"

A tourist from China told us, "Everywhere in China now the frenzied emphasis is on money! People are looking for money and work for money. People fight with one another and plot against each other for money. It is chaos! Talking about Communist Party officials - they are all corrupt. Some corrupt officials took the ordinary people's hard-earned money to go gambling and lost huge sums of money. They do not care at all about the people. People in China call the Communist Party the 'Party with black hearts.' No one trusts or believes in this Party anymore. You (Falun Gong) care about ordinary people and encourage people to do good things, improve morals and retain health. I have encountered many Falun Gong practitioners in China. They found wallets or cell phones and returned them to the people who had lost the items. They returned money to vendors when they were given extra change. You Falun Gong practitioners have high morals. You use your own money to make materials to let others learn the truth. I hope that you continue your efforts. Falun Gong is China's only hope!"
