Canada: Falun Gong Awarded at Gold Cup Parade in Charlottetown

On August 17th, 2007, the largest annual celebration held in Charlottetown, the Gold Cup Parade, was held. Falun Gong practitioners participated in the parade with their beautifully decorated float. They won the "Most Effective & Creative Use of Color" award.

During the parade, Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. Peaceful and tranquil Falun Gong exercise demonstrations and brilliant and colourful lotuses won rounds of applause from spectators along the route. After the event, the sponsor issued the "Most Effective & Creative Use of Color" award to Falun Gong practitioners.

The annual Gold Cup Parade is the most famous local celebration activity. According to the sponsor, about 60,000 spectators watch the parade at the scene or through live TV broadcast.
