Amnesty International and IBLF (International Business Leaders Forum)will on Tuesday of February 19th present a fresh international study about the new business risks: "Business & Human Rights: A Geography of Corporate Risk".
Thereafter will follow a panel discussion with among others Erik Belfrage, Vice president of SEB, Bengt Braun, Corporate Manager of Bonniers, Ulf Karlberg, Amnesty Business Group and Carl-Johan Bonnier, Chairman of SNS
Background:
Companies have a responsibility for the world they have chosen to work in. By taking their responsibility, companies will influence its risk factors on condition that they are aware of which risks exist, and how they should act to prevent them.
Amnesty International and IBLF' study examines the business activities of 130 global companies in 34 different countries, where crimes against human rights, such as torture, child labour and denial of freedom of speech, exist.
