"Harbin", a Chinese navy ship, visited Auckland, New Zealand and berthed at a civil pier. Many people from China stopped by to see the ship. Falun Gong practitioners in Auckland took this opportunity to expose the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and spread the news of 27 million people quitting the CCP and its affiliated organisations.
Falun Gong practitioners distributed fliers about the persecution and copies of the Nine Commentaries on Chinese Communist Party, which exposes the evil nature of the CCP. Some practitioners displayed banners exposing the persecution.
A middle-aged Chinese passed by the Falun Gong display and banners while driving a car. When he stopped at a red light, he shouted while giving thumbs-up, "Great! You are doing a great job! I support you!"
With granddaughter in his arms, an elderly Chinese man stood next to practitioners holding banners while waiting at the stoplight to cross the street. A practitioner asked him, "Have you come to see the ship?" He said, "Yes, we have. Have you?" The practitioner handed him a DVD about the persecution of Falun Gong and said, "I used to serve in the military for our country, but because I practise Falun Gong I was persecuted. I was forced to leave China. That's how I came here." The elderly gentleman took the DVD and said, "I have been in the military too. I believe what you said." The practitioner asked, "Have you read the Nine Commentaries? The man said immediately, "Yes, I have read it. It's great! The CCP makes people suffer. They fight and fight and kill the good people. It's political movements never end. There is no peaceful day. I believe you what you told me about the persecution of Falun Gong. I will watch the DVD carefully! Thank you!"
Another elderly Chinese read the display exposing the persecution and declared the CCP is terrible. It destroyed his family. He had to leave China. He wouldn't believe in the CCP and dared not to marry a Chinese woman. He ended up marrying a Caucasian woman. He still dared not to visit China. He asked the practitioners many detailed questions about learning Falun Dafa. The practitioners gave him an introduction to Falun Gong, demonstrated exercise movements to him, and told him that he would find the answers in Zhuan Falun. After taking some introduction materials, he said, "Thank you for telling me all this! I didn't expect to begin learning Falun Dafa at my old age. I will definitely read everything carefully."
Some people who have been deceived by the CCP would make negative comments when they passed the display. However, the practitioners kindly encouraged them to find out more about the true story.
The practitioner who used to serve in the Chinese military happened to meet a group of seven or eight Chines navy officers in plain clothes on street. The practitioner greeted them and told them some things about New Zealand. They curiously asked the practitioner how she ended up in New Zealand. The practitioner told them she had been imprisoned and forced to undergo brainwashing for two months for practising Falun Gong. She was monitored after she was released. She had to leave China and come to New Zealand. One of the young men asked, "How is it for you here?" The practitioner said, "I had never served this nation (New Zealand) for even a day, but the New Zealand government gave me all I need for basic living based on humanity. I had worked all my life for the CCP, but I was forced to leave my homeland. Soldiers are considered the most loyal to their nations in the west. But the CCP persecuted a soldier who only wanted to cultivate and be a good person. You have to think about it. The CCP is sure to collapse."
Before they said good-bye at the cross-walk, the practitioner reminded the young men that Falun Dafa is truly wonderful! The young men said "Thank you" repeatedly and shook hands with the practitioner. The practitioners watched the young men leave. They still turned around to wave at the practitioner from far away.
