The practitioners set up a banner that read "Falun Gong Practitioners held in concentration camps killed for organs" in Low Plaza, the centre of Columbia University. Most people entering the campus could see it. People stopped to view the poster boards introducing Falun Gong and exposing the CCP's persecution. The practitioners also distributed the newspaper Falun Gong Today and CDs of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.
Many people passed by quickly, but accepted the truth-clarification literature after hearing about the atrocities. A tour group from China passed by. They did not take the literature, but some of them studied the posters carefully and took photos of the banner. A student from China did not stop long but took the book Nine Commentaries on Communist Party after seeing it on the table. He also took the newspaper Falun Gong Today. A couple of Taiwanese tourists said they knew about and supported Falun Gong.
