Falun Gong practitioners in and around the city of Manchester have been gathering together and holding activities to introduce Falun Gong and expose the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) crimes against the practice in different cities across the UK. On the 11th of November, practitioners went to Manchester's China Town, erecting displays depicting what Falun Gong is, telling people about the how the practice has spread around the world and exposing the evil and brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP.

People were shocked at the violent actions of the Chinese Communist Party and a lot of people signed the petitions calling for an end to the persecution. When three Chinese people came to realise the true nature of the Chinese regime, they were so shocked that they immediately quit the Party’s affiliated organisations. After signing the petition, a western man took a Falun Gong information CD, whilst saying that he would find his friends and bring them over to sign the petitions. Later, his friends came and also agreed to sign the petitions to show their support whilst taking some CDs to find out more information. Once they were satisfied with what they had learnt they thanked the practitioners for their time and left.
The practitioners attending the activity performed the five sets of Falun Gong exercises to give passers-by an instant idea of what the practice is. A lot of passers-by stopped to watch the practitioners, some attempted the exercise movements, some took photos as mementoes and some were attracted so much to the music that they requested exercise CDs. Three people showed an interest in learning the practice and wanted to order Falun Gong books to learn more.
