In the afternoon of April 19th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners exhibited posters and collected signatures to expose the Chinese Communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. The activity was held at the Place Fontaine des Innocents near Chatelet in Paris. After learning the truth, many people signed the petition declaring their support for Falun Gong practitioners and calling for the end of the persecution.
The activity attracted a large number of people. Many local residents came to read the posters and other materials and signed the petition against the persecution. A group of young French people were extremely outraged by the brutality of the Chinese Communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. They helped Falun Gong practitioners distribute leaflets to passers-by.
IT engineer Olivier Kasobon said the Olympics allowed people to be more concerned with everything happening in China. He hoped China would be more open in the freedom of information.
Family asset manager Mr. Spouta Sibire said, “This persecution is unacceptable. It is barbaric behaviour. If it requires killing and the destruction of the environment to maintain the stability of the nation and its economy, it would result in more deaths. It is not constructive and will lead to the death of the whole society. People in the whole world should unite and stand up against this. Otherwise our lives could be in danger too.”
