Sir Teddy Taylor who was a former minister and a prominent member of the Commons wrote: "Thank you for your letter of 20th April also signed by other members of the Falun Gong Group and for letting me know of your serious concern for the persecution of those who share your faith in China and in Hong Kong. I will certainly pursue this issue with the
Foreign Secretary and do hope this will be of some help."
Patsy Calton MP said in her letter: "Checking through my files I find that I have already written to the Chinese Embassy, to date I have received no response. I have also written to the FCO asking the government to table a motion at the UN, asking the Chinese authorities to give Falun Gong their human rights."
Dr. Stephen J Ladyman MP pledged that, "I will continue to do what I can to raise awareness of issues in respect to Falun Gong."
Jonathan Shaw MP Wrote: "I was concerned to read this information you gave about the plight of the Falun gong and I am grateful to you for bringing this situation to my attention. I note your request for action by MPs and I will try and look into this matter further and urge the FCO
to take an active interest in this matter."
