There are some people who think that they are superior because they are Falun Dafa practitioners, and they act high and mighty around their families. If a family member says something bad about them, they will not permit it, and they will respond as if the family member had said something bad about Dafa. The words they speak and the attitudes they project make it difficult to ask them for anything. If their families ask them to do something, they will not lift a finger. "The Fa is my first and foremost priority. I have my own agenda, and everyday people's business is not my responsibility." They talk down to members of their own families. "I'm a Dafa practitioner, and I practice the great Fa. You are not as good as I; you are inferior." If they used to feel that they were right most of the time, now they feel that they are infallible. After cultivating in Dafa, they behave as if they could do no wrong. This creates a great deal of tension in their families.
There are also some practitioners who study the Fa and practice the exercises diligently. However, whenever they encounter a family problem, they don't handle it properly. They expect their family members to behave according to Dafa's standard while these practitioners fail to live up to it themselves. They speak as if they held the truth in their hands, and they consider themselves competent to judge others and force their rules on them.
Our homes are part of our cultivation environment as Falun Dafa practitioners. Every member of our families came here for the Fa. If family members also learn to practice Falun Dafa, aren't they practitioners too? How can you look down on fellow practitioners? Aren't you preventing your family members from obtaining the Fa? Is Dafa taught for you alone?
By not behaving according to Dafa when dealing with our families, we fail to harmonize our family environment.
