When I clarify the truth face to face, I always keep one thought in my mind: "Assist Teacher to rectify the Fa and save people." My thinking is simple and straightforward. And I do not think about validating myself. My mission, responsibility and benevolence makes me think of sentient beings all the time. I want to tell the joyous news of Dafa to everyone I meet, either friends or strangers, directly or indirectly. And I want to utilize every opportunity. I want to tell them to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations so that they can be saved by Dafa and have a wonderful future.
Truth clarification and xinxing cultivation complement each other. When we clarify the truth without any personal notions or purpose, we can get the best result. Sometimes a few words is enough to make a person understand the truth. If we have pursuit, it will not work. There are many reasons for practitioners not being able to help people to comprehend the truth, including interference from other dimensions, from our notions or karma. But most often it is due to our own shortcomings. For example, we may have attachments to fear, misgivings, a tendency to gloss over things, competition, being impetuous, pursuit of results, being overjoyed, etc. When we think about protecting ourselves, our desire to save people is no longer strong. Selfishness replaces benevolence, creating a big challenge for our improvement and fulfillment of our mission to save people.
Different environments will expose our different attachments. For example, when talking to strangers, we may feel embarrassed and unwilling to approach them, unsure of how to start the conversation, and think that they will refuse to listen to us. Some practitioners in China may fear being reported to the police and being arrested. These attachments will lead to another attachment of glossing over. When the other party shows a sign of objection, they just end the conversation impatiently. Sometimes practitioners even want to please the non-practitioners. They will echo whatever the non-practitioner says, as if wanting to get some benefit from them.
Quite often practitioners have attachments to anger, competition, feeling sorry, or resentment when clarifying truth to relatives. They feel that their relatives have to listen to them and obey them unconditionally. Then they often get into arguments and increase the difficulties in saving them. Sometimes they don't want to clarify the truth to their relatives. We should avoid falling into the trap of qing. We should be smooth but not aggressive. Since we live with our family members, we can do it gradually. Our silent influence is more appropriate.
The easiest is to clarify the truth to someone we know, such as friends, colleagues, classmates and neighbors. When talking to them, we do not have many misgivings and there are few barriers with them. The conversation becomes agreeable and natural. Moreover, since they know us, it's easier for them to trust us. As long as we don't hurry and aren't impetuous, we can clarify the truth while chatting. Sometimes it becomes a matter of question and answer. We can resolve the confusion in their minds and achieve good results. We should remember we are here to save people but sometimes practitioners do not clarify the truth, but continue to chat. When the people refuse to quit the CCP, we should not feel discouraged. Instead, we should give them time to think it over and discuss the issue again next time. After several conversations, we can persuade them to quit. Some people, because they care for us, may even criticize us for being selfish and not caring about our families, risking the loss of our jobs and perhaps even being arrested. We must guard our xinxing and not be led by emotion. We should offer simple explanations instead of lengthy debate.
I realize that the truth clarification process is also a cultivation process. We should maintain the righteous thoughts of saving people, interact with people kindly, peacefully, calmly, and politely. We should not be overjoyed or develop an attachment to success when people accept the truth. Nor should we feel resentful or pessimistic when they do not accept it. We should simply do our best to save people without any pursuit. Some practitioners are not good at face-to-face truth clarification. They may be blocked by some attachments. Actually when we clarify the truth, these attachments will emerge. Then we can get rid of them. If we keep pursuing comfort and ease and strengthening our selfishness, we will remain at our current level and not fulfill our commitment to the Fa. Won't that leave us regrets and cause losses for sentient beings?
There are multiple gains when clarifying the truth. Firstly, we cultivate ourselves while clarifying the truth, so our characters are improved. Our charachter is also eliminated during cultivation. Thirdly, our levels are raised up and people are also saved. It's four gains for one action. As Dafa disciples, we have the responsibility and obligation to save sentient beings, because we cultivate benevolence, a divine characteristic. With benevolence, other attachments become fragile. However, the only way we can develop benevolence is via solid cultivation, not simply sitting at home to pursue it. Some practitioners do not want to clarify the truth face to face, saying that they do not have a good education or they are not good at talking. I think the problem is not that they are not eloquent. The key is that they haven't realized the preciousness of Dafa and thus haven't felt the responsibility and mission to cultivate themselves and save people. Truth clarification is not giving lectures. It's just to talk about the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa and the seriousness and importance for people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Every practitioner can do this.
Therefore, fellow practitioners, please all come out to do face-to-face clarification. Do not be afraid. This is a very sacred thing. If every Dafa disciple comes out, we can save a substantial number of people. All of the sentient beings are waiting for us, because we have come here for them!
