Many talented artists, actors and musicians performed at the celebration. At 8:30 p.m., six young Falun Gong practitioners from Minghui School performed four traditional Chinese dances and demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises.
Kitte and Charlina, who sat in the front row, highly praised the performances. Kitte said: "I love meditation. The young girls look so peaceful. I want to learn." Charlina said: "Their performances were inspiring and powerful." Lynnete Davis pointed at the bookmark on a paper lotus flower, which read "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance", and said: "These are the principles of my life. I am glad to see it." Some people asked for more detailed information about the exercises.
Local TV station ABC-6 aired the young practitioners' performances on the 11:00 p.m. news.
