On July 5th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners from Helsinki made use of the weekend break to go to the railway station to spread Falun Gong to the people of Finland and at the same time to tell them about the ten year brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP, calling for an end to the persecution.

When the activity ended, practitioner Anja said, “Today nearly every person who I talked to said that the CCP is too evil. They all wanted to know more about Falun Gong and even thanked practitioners for being able to clarify the truth here. There were also some people who asked about where the practice sites were, expressing a wish to study and practice Falun Gong.
A practitioner called Sinikka followed on by saying: “Quickly after the activity concluded, a man came over to tell me, that he had heard about Falun Gong from other people, and has also received our material before and had read it attentively at home. He told me, he thought that the media should write more reports about Falun Gong, that way more people can get to know about Falun Gong.”
Sinikka also said, “A man told me, you should most certainly go to see the president Tarja Halonen and the president should speak about this matter (regarding the CCP persecuting Falun Gong), this is something he the president has yet not done.”
A Chinese student called Xiao Wang said, she ran into a woman who had just come out of Mainland China, and asked her if she had heard of the big wave of quitting the CCP and she said that she knew and she also knew that Falun Gong was being persecuted and that a relative of hers had been detained for two years for practicing Falun Gong. When asking her if she had declared the three withdrawals (withdrawing from the party, the groups and the teams) or not, she said that she still hadn’t, she would have to ask her husband after going home. Xiao Wang gave her a “nine commentaries” and an Epoch Times newspaper, asking her to earnestly read it when going home and moreover recommended her to read the Minghui website and the Da Ji Yuan (Chinese version of the Epoch Times newspaper). Also the website to understand the true situation and to treasure this environment of freedom. After understanding she could declare the three withdrawals herself at the Da Ji Yuan website, quitting the party and acquiring and maintaining her peace.
On that day at that scene there were several occasions where three to five people were lining up to sign their names against the persecution; this is not a regular scene in Finland which is a country of small population. After the activity had already concluded and a practitioner was gathering up the materials and signature table, there were two more young ladies who came over wanting to sign their names, so practitioner Sinikka immediately satisfied their wishes and moreover expressed thanks to them.
