Some practitioners displayed banners reading "Falun Gong practitioners are being tortured to death in China", "Stop the Genocide" and "The world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance". Motorists craned their necks to read the wording on the display, as well as watch a group of practitioners demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises. Other practitioners distributed leaflets to passing pedestrians and cars that had stopped at the traffic lights.

A young British woman was recently deported from Beijing for protesting against China's human rights violations during the opening ceremony for the Olympic Games. She has decided to continue her protest in front of the Chinese Embassy and plans to remain there 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until the end of the games. She is concerned about the plight of Falun Gong practitioners in China and enthusiastically distributed leaflets about Falun Gong to passersby.
