On August 3rd, the Falun Dafa Information Center offered detailed information to twenty thousand reporters all over the world, calling for further investigations into 16 recent death cases of Falun Gong practitioners. After this, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) moved jailed practitioners out of Beijing, trying to cover up their crimes.

Regarding this, Falun Gong practitioners in New Zealand published an announcement on August 15th and held activities to clarify the truth.

Maori Chief Mr. Amato Akarana came to Auckland to express his support. He gave speeches in Maori and English. He said: "Falun Gong practitioners are suffering from the persecution. Whoever does not support them are not humanists. I support all the practitioners on this land. They get the support from all the Maoris on this land. I swear in the name of my life, my village, and my family that I support Falun Gong practitioners' anti-persecution activities."

Many tourists, including Chinese people, signed their names to support Falun Gong practitioners.

In Christchurch, practitioner Eric Robinson called upon the world to pay more attention to the persecution during the Olympics.
