A 17-Year-Old Prisoner Begins His Practice of Falun Dafa in a Labour Camp

At a labour camp in February 2000, a seventeen year-old prisoner came to believe in the goodness of Falun Dafa. He did so after witnessing the behaviour of more than 10 practitioners also held in the camp.

One time, when a labour camp official defamed [Falun] Dafa, more than ten practitioners walked up to the lecture platform to protest the action. This young man also walked up to the lecture platform, standing by the practitioners' sides and telling the camp leader that he believed the practitioners were right.

When the labour camp authorities later discovered that he had begun to practice Falun Gong, they were astonished! They remarked that they had not been able to "convert" any Falun Gong practitioners, and now they even had another one! News of the event quickly spread among the camp's practitioners.

Upon this young man's release in July of 2000, he found local practitioners in the area of his home to study the Fa and practice the exercises with. He also began to spread the truth about Falun Dafa to others. His fellow practitioners report that he was illegally arrested for his efforts clarifying the truth about Dafa and its persecution to others.
