Overcoming a Negative Mindset and Rescuing Fellow Practitioners with Confidence

During the past nine years of persecution, my daughter has been arrested several times, detained and persecuted in detention centres and brainwashing centres. All I could do was to take care of my little granddaughter and endure the misery with great sorrow. While the child cried for mum, I also wept. Non-practitioners at home were also depressed under the influence of our bad mood. They just stayed at home, reluctant to go out and work, so we were in financial difficulties. I felt tremendous pressure during that period of time. Many human attachments surfaced. I was acknowledging the evil persecution of Dafa practitioners.

Before the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the police arrested many Falun Gong practitioners in almost every region. In late July, my daughter was arrested again and sent to a brainwashing centre. After studying the Fa a lot, I came to understand that we should not let the evil prevail this time, we should keep righteous thoughts, stand on the basis of Dafa, and coordinate as one body to rescue fellow practitioners. At the same time, I knew to look within to find the thoughts that are not consistent with Dafa. I made a plea to Teacher: Please strengthen student's righteous thoughts to disintegrate completely all the evil beings and elements that persecute Dafa practitioners. Drawing lessons from the past experience, I laid down my human thoughts and thought of nothing but to follow what Teacher said,

"The next person's things are your things, and your things are his things." ("Teaching the Fa at the Washington D.C. Fa Conference, 2002")

After this round of arrests happened, all the local fellow practitioners in my area came to realize that we should by no means allow the evil to persecute practitioners. Fellow practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts and distributed truth-clarifying flyers. We are coordinating with each other well. I took my granddaughter to the relevant departments to ask for the release of fellow practitioners who were illegally detained. Without fear, I went to the residential office and local 610 Office to expose the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and other Chinese people. I told them that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) poisoned people by using deceit and propaganda. I also talked about the CCP's trampling of spiritual belief, human rights and humanity. I also told them of the wonder that Falun Dafa has brought to the world. I told them that they will have good fortune if they are kind to practitioners. I asked them to recite "Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good" so that they could stand on the side of Dafa and secure a bright future for themselves.

I believed that I could save sentient beings in this way because it is consistent with Dafa. It could also play a positive role in rescuing fellow practitioners. Under the strengthening of Teacher and the cooperation of fellow practitioners as one body, the detained fellow practitioners were released unconditionally before the Olympic Games ended.

Now we have recieved news that the brainwashing centre has been closed down, which really manifested the power of Dafa. This also reminded me of Teacher's lecture:

"No matter what it is you have encountered as you've gone about validating the Fa, it is all, I will tell you, a good thing--and that's especially so in these years of persecution--for those things have come about specifically because you do cultivation. Those ordeals and the suffering, no matter how great or harsh you find them to be, are good things, because they take place solely on account of your cultivation."
