Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Protest against the Persecution of Falun Gong at the Chinese Consulate in Munich

On October 12th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners in Munich held an activity at the Chinese Consulate to call for an end to the Chinese Communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong. The activity got wide support from the German public. Many people told practitioners that they are doing great work and hope they can keep up with the effort.

The autumn weather was very pleasant. The leaves started to turn to a red orange colour. It looked very beautiful under the blue sky. Such good weather naturally attracted many tourists. Group after group of people came to the renowned tourist site the Royal Palace for sightseeing. When they passed the near by Chinese Consulate, many of them were attracted to the peaceful exercise demonstration by Falun Gong practitioners, as well as banners and poster display boards. After reading the information on the display boards exposing the Chinese Communist regime’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong an elderly lady cried. Some people were also moved by the exercise music. Many people signed the petition to show their support for Falun Gong.

A lady who owns a physical therapy clinic passed by the Chinese Consulate by bicycle. She paused at the site and thought a while. Afterwards she asked Falun Gong practitioners: “If the Chinese Communist regime’s persecution has been so evil, why was it not stopped immediately? The whole world should be against such an atrocity.” Practitioners told her that many governments turned a blind eye to the Chinese Communist regime’s atrocities because of short-term economic interest. The persecution is still on-going in China up to date. In New York’s Flushing, some hooligans who are hired and directed by the Chinese Consulate behind the scene openly beat up, abuse and threaten to kill Falun Gong practitioners who believe in truthfulness, compassion and tolerance. At this moment, the lady asked, “What! This happens in Flushing, in the US? How can it be possible? The USA’s free democracy and would not allow these things to happen.” Practitioners told her that unfortunately these terrible incidents are still occurring in Flushing. We need more people to learn the truth, to truly stand up and take action to stop the Chinese Communist regime’s atrocities. The lady agreed with the practitioner’s view and signed the petition against the persecution.

“What you are doing is great.” A middle-aged lady who lived near-by said that she often saw Falun Gong practitioners organising activities here. She thought that such activities would remind people about the atrocity being committed by the Chinese Communist regime. People should be concerned by this matter.
