Sweden: Raising Awareness about the Brutal Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in China

On November 8th, Falun Gong practitioners went to Mynttorg Square in Stockholm. They distributed leaflets and displayed photos exposing the CCP's crime of harvesting Falun Gong practitioners’ organs. After understanding the truth many people signed their names in support of an end to the persecution of Falun Gong.

A Japanese woman who lives in Sweden called Reiko said to practitioners that she already knew about these terrible things happening in China, she decided that she would like to donate a little money to express her support for this activity; the practitioners politely declined her offer. She signed her own Swedish and Japanese name in the petition book.

An elderly Swedish person who often passes by this place patted practitioners’ shoulders after speaking to the practitioner and very happily said: “I know all about your matter, I have already signed my name.”

Nathan, a young person from Australia, was just looking at the contents of the display boards carefully and then signed his name in the signature book. He said he believes this is all true and that everybody should come together to stop the persecution.

A young person from Mainland China was standing in front of the display boards and in his hand he had the “Nine Commentaries on the Communist party” that a practitioner had given him and also some material relating to Falun Gong. His expression was very solemn and he was very absorbed in reading the display boards. When a practitioner explained to him the great overseas wave of withdrawals from the CCP, he nodded his head and said: “OK, I would like to have a good look at that.”

Not very long later, he turned round and came back again and asked Falun Gong practitioner Mrs. Zhang where he could buy the Falun Gong books. As a matter of fact he was a student who had just come from Mainland China to attend Uppsala University. He said to Mrs. Zhang: “I simply wanted to have a look at books about Falun Gong, but within China one simply cannot find any.” Mrs. Zhang gave him the web address for the Falun Dafa website and her own contact telephone number to this young person, and even told him that if afterwards he needed any help, he could contact her any time. This young person was very happy.

Mrs. Zhang told the young man that a person who had practiced the exercises with her is currently illegally locked up in a labour camp, one of whom is an old person over 70 years of age. Especially before the Beijing Olympics, the evil CCP crazily arrested many Falun Gong practitioners, “Another person that I know was arrested by them from within her home and was directly sent to the labour camps illegally.”

At this time a middle aged man who had been standing next to them for how long they did not know, interposed and said: “What you said is not incorrect in the slightest, a good friend of mine's two relatives were arrested by them recently. I know them - they are all very good people.” At this point, he could not control himself, and with his sobbing voice he could not speak, eventually he was able to say: “Sweden is worthy of being a truly democratic country, today I saw you here holding this activity. I am really moved, Democracy is good after all. People can freely express their own wishes and their own thoughts and views and even receive protection. Falun Gong is truly amazing. Only you dare to contend with the CCP tyranny. I admire you. If it wasn’t for you, they would be more unscrupulously persecuting innocent good people. I sympathise with my friends very much and don’t know how I can help them; I have also been persecuted by the evil CCP.” Following this he cried so much that he could not continue to speak.

Mrs. Zhang comforted this man, and at the same time said to him: “Falun Gong has no political pursuits; it just teaches people to incline to kindness, cultivate oneself and be a good person. Falun Gong has already been the victim of the CCP savage persecution for more than nine years; we simply want to tell people the truth about Falun Gong being subjected to persecution. For every day the persecution does not conclude, we will not stop clarifying the truth. You don’t need to feel so bad, you need to believe in yourself, haven’t you just come in also? The things that have happened within yourself as well as the real things that have happened around you are very good examples of how the CCP persecutes innocent people; you have told me, and you have also told this young man, enabling more Chinese people to wake up, and to soon distinguish clearly the nature of the evil CCP and to quit it, to get rid of this malignant tumour. Thus you are helping your friend” friend’s family. At the same time he said he would tell more people the truth about the persecution Falun Gong practitioners are subjected to, and he also signed his own name in the petition against the persecution.
