Cultivating Myself While Working at a Materials Production Site

Our Materials Production Site

I began cultivating in the spring of 1998. One summer afternoon in 2000, another practitioner came to my shop. He told me he might have to leave home to avoid arrest since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials were aware he handed out Falun Gong information. He sought help. I felt that I should help him to work on Dafa projects, as I couldn't let the communist regime agents persecute him. I assured him that he could come anytime and stay with us. Eventually, three practitioners stayed with me. We studied and practiced the exercises together and distributed Dafa flyers to people. I recall that this was really Master's arrangement. Master sent three diligent cultivators to my side, made me motivated in cultivation, and brought me great care and protection.

At that time, we relied on those three practitioners for distribution of informational materials in our area. Each week they picked up materials from outside the region and brought them back and distributed them locally. In 2001, the materials production site in a neighboring county was destroyed, so four of us created a site in my house.

The hardships we experienced during the advancing Fa-rectification process had gradually matured the local practitioners. Demand for truth-clarifying materials increased. Every week, two of us were each delivering three large bags of materials.

Since more practitioners were returning to cultivation, the demand for quantity, quality, and variety of the Dafa materials increased. My responsibilities changed from merely delivering materials to stationery purchasing and computer/printer purchasing, as well as downloading articles and printing, among other tasks. Under Master's protection and help from the other practitioners, my cultivation path was smooth, and I was grateful for what Master and the other practitioners did for me.

In the second half of 2002, a practitioner in a neighboring county confessed the location of our materials site under duress. Confronted with this development, neglecting their own safety, practitioners of our site quickly relocated the equipment and supplies to a safe place. When police officials arrived, they found nothing at the center in the home of one of the practitioners. His family was righteous, did not cooperate with police and completely negated the persecution, causing the police to leave empty-handed.

We enlarged the previous site and split it into two sites to accommodate the increased demand. I was in charge of one site and concurrently responsible for repairs at both, as well as purchasing equipment and supplies.

Letting Go of Attachments and Cultivating Unconditionally

Because I was in charge of equipment and supply purchasing, the manufacturers rewarded me with small incentives when I purchased large amounts of products from them. The incentives included umbrellas, belts, towels and other things, but I knew they did not belong to me and should be given to other practitioners who might need them.

One day during a buying trip the salesman handed me several umbrellas as incentives. I knew that many practitioners who did deliveries went out regardless of the weather, so I gave the umbrellas to them. After I got home I realized this wasn't right. Sharing with the other practitioners based on the Fa, we agreed to sell those free gifts at my shop, and the money would be used for buying Dafa stationery.

Persisting in Fa Study Regardless of Workload

In 2005 my enterprise got very busy around the August Festival. In addition to my responsibility for materials distribution to several places, my mind was preoccupied with too many things. I was unable to calm down to study the Fa, which allowed the old forces to take advantage of me.

One day at about 7:00 p.m. I traveled along a road to deliver flyers to a materials site 20 miles away. I got there problem-free while sending righteous thoughts along the way. On the way back I had the list of people who quit the CCP and felt somewhat relaxed. I sped up on my motorcycle and forgot to send righteous thoughts. About five miles from my home I saw a big hole on the road, filled with rocks. There was no time to get around this obstacle, so I hit the brakes very hard to stop. The motorcycle stopped before the hole, but the rear wheel lifted off the ground. The momentum threw me onto the rocks, and I hit my head hard. I lost consciousness. When I awakened I had no clue how long I had been unconscious. My first thought was to find the list with people's names who had withdrawn from the CCP. I walked slowly to my motorcycle, grabbed the list from the front basket and put it into my pocket. I felt very dizzy. It was so dark. I was so sick that I couldn't tell which direction to go or determine where I was. I had no strength to stand up, so I lay down and sent righteous thoughts to eliminate all bad elements around me, to banish the old forces who persecute me and ask Master for support. About ten minutes later my mind cleared. I could see the road, as well as the mountain and forest nearby. I knew my location and found I had lain in the middle of the road, and people passed by. After I got back to my shop, my practitioner wife found I had blood all over my face that had dried in layers. It was just about midnight. We said little and sent righteous thoughts. I eventually realized that I had been unconscious for three hours. My wife and I looked inward that night and realized the problem was lack of cultivation. We determined to be more diligent.

Problems occurred in our regional Dafa materials distribution site. Everyone connected with me for Dafa projects was persecuted by the evil CCP. It was a test when one of them was arrested. I sometimes felt fear. Whenever things happened I calmed down, studied the Fa and sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the old forces, dark minions and rotten ghosts who attempted to persecute and disturb me.

During my seven years of cultivation I have improved throughout the creation of the Dafa materials site and distribution. Dafa gives us everything, including wisdom. We can work well as one body if we look inward and give up all attachments.
