Advance Forward in Clarifying The Truth and Saving Sentient Beings

In recent days, I have been riding my bicycle along the roadside to talk to people about Falun Gong. Usually I ride over ten miles one way and then ride back. When I see another bicycle rider or tricycle rider, I would ride along side with them and talk to them about Falun Gong on the way. When I see people pushing a cart or just walking, I would get off my bicycle and walk with them while talking to them. When I see people working by the roadside, I would ask the way and then talk to them about Falun Gong. In most cases, it is a one on one or one on two conversation. The people I meet along the road are mostly senior citizens. I treat them like family and talk to them with passion and patience. The effect of talking about the truth of Falun Gong is usually very good. Some senior citizens I have talked to do not know how to read. They are mostly not members of Chinese Community Party (CCP). They would thank me again and again. Some of them want to learn Falun Gong after learning about it. I give them video discs of the Divine Performing Arts and other truth-clarification materials. Usually I can talk to five to eight people in one afternoon. Those that are members of CCP quit their memberships after learning about the truth of Falun Gong.

The day before yesterday, I met a 20-year-old man. After hearing me talking about Falun Gong, he told me a miraculous thing with joy.

Two days before, he received a call on his cell phone from a girl from Taiwan. The girl talked to him for about two hours about the truth of Falun Gong and helped him quit the CCP Youth League. This girl told him that she was disabled before practicing Falun Gong. One of her legs was injured when she rode in a car with her elder brother when she was little. Now she is twenty-eight years old and single. She was in the United States and Hong Kong earlier the year to attend Falun Gong activities. Now she calls people in China to tell them about Falun Gong. Her words were passionate and touching.

I was moved by the story of this fellow practitioner from Taiwan. With her disability, she can still go to various Falun Gong activities around the world and keep up her efforts in calling people in China. I consider myself a diligent practitioner who has gone through the nine years of Fa-rectification and saving sentient beings. However, compared to this fellow practitioner from Taiwan, I feel I fall short of her standard.
In "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York", Master told us,
"So my hope is that the students in Mainland China can really learn from and emulate the students outside of China. In order to lessen the evil's persecution of you, take a look at what they're doing. They have worked so hard. Some barely sleep day after day, each person is doing many things, and they are all shouldering a lot of projects. And I'm not talking about just a few of them--it's the majority of them, and they really are working hard. So with this, when we compare things, even though their environment is relaxed and comfortable, as Dafa disciples, it's still about being diligent."

Now when I read this once again, I can understand more. I truly feel the difficulty overseas practitioners experience. Overseas practitioners are really sacrificing and advancing diligently.

How can we strive forward in saving people? We cannot stay home and do the clarification work passively. How many people can we save if we do it passively? We should go out and pro-actively seek people to talk to and save.

One day, a fellow practitioner from out of town told me a story. She went to attend the wedding of a practitioner's son. She saw nine fellow practitioners there, all happy to see the others. I asked her, "If all ten of you practitioners split into five or even ten groups and go out to clarify the truth, how many people can you save?" She suddenly came to enlightenment, "We lost a golden opportunity." Why do we let this happen? Because we are used to clarifying the truth passively but not pro-actively. We have not put truth clarification work as the number one priority. Therefore when we come across opportunities, we do not seize them to save more people.

I believe the effect of my effort of telling people about Falun Gong along the roadside will become better and better. I will seize the time to save those who should be saved. Fellow practitioners, in this short period of time before the Fa-rectification is completed, we should strive forward in saving all, and we will feel the joy of each saved being.
