After Ms. Pan Jingchu, a famous artist in Tainan, saw the Shen Yun Divine Performing Arts show (SYDPA), she said, "Through dance and music, SYDPA recalled China's 5000-year-old history. It brought happiness and hope, and purified peoples' hearts. The songs have profound content. The warm applause is evidence that the show won theatergoers' hearts."
She noticed that the actors all had smiles on their faces as they danced. She said, "The actors have soft hearts, and they projected their happiness to the audience. They tell people that one will have hope if his or her heart is full of happiness."
Ms. Pan liked the Mongolian dance the most. She said that the rhythm of the dance was fast and light, and the power in it encouraged peoples' hearts.
To Ms. Pan, the classic music in the show brought a feeling of peace. "You don't think of many things when you listen to it. Your mind is focused and also relaxed. Once your heart is relaxed, the beautiful things can go into it."
She said commented on the encouraging content of the songs: "Falun Gong practitioners in China have been persecuted for a long time, but they don't give in. Their courage wakes up other people. The show reminds us and gives us warning, and the show tells us the truth. The truth is that those who have been persecuted are saved by Buddha and gods. It tells us about the importance of spirits."
Ms. Pan said the show tells people not to forget China's 5000-year-old culture. "The end of the show was awesome. Everyone was happy and yelling 'encore'! It shows that happiness brings hope."
