The event took place in a large hall in the College where many stalls were set up. Falun Dafa was allocated a large corner where we displayed striking banners showing practitioners meditating and "Truth - Compassion - Forbearance". In the morning a stall was set up with leaflets, books, posters and other information about Falun Dafa and videos of "Falun Dafa in India" and of the exercises of Falun Gong were shown continuously. People commented on the beauty of the stall and although it was fairly quiet in the morning, those that came to the stall were very interested and were looking forward to the demonstration and spoke with the practitioners about the
practice.
In the afternoon a group of 13 practitioners, from the Midlands area, Cambridge and even as far as Edinburgh, Scotland took it in turns to show the Falun Gong exercises. The hall filled with visitors to the Health Day.
There was a steady flow of people who were attracted to the demonstration area and many people showed an interest in learning the exercises. One lady said that she had been trying to learn Tai Chi for ages but could never get to a class and when she saw Falun Gong she said that she was probably meant to do this instead! She was impressed that it was free. She wanted to learn the exercises immediately and also enquired about a class. One man watched the demonstration for at least an hour transfixed on the beauty and serenity of the exercises. After the demonstration a small group learned the exercises led by a group of practitioners.
The organiser of the event warmly thanked the practitioners at the end of the day and hoped that we would attend next year. She also waived the small fee for the stall! This was a day of harmony and a good opportunity to show the majestic beauty of Falun Dafa
