On May 16th 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Belgium held activities at the City Park in the famous university town of Leuven to celebrate the 10th World Falun Dafa Day. Practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises on the lawn, displayed exhibits explaining the benefits of the practice and gave out paper lotus flowers, which attracted many passing local citizens and tourists.
Practitioners talked to people about how Falun Gong has helped practitioners improve in mind and body. Falun Gong is practised in over one hundred countries around the world but has been persecuted by the Communist Party in China for ten years.
