Germany: Visitor to an Anti-Torture Display - "China Will Be Free of the CCP Soon!"

A German pedestrian was alarmed upon coming across an Asian man in cage with blood on his clothes. Believing it to be an actual act of violence, he said anxiously, "What's going on here? Release the man immediately from the cage!"

A person nearby explained, "He is posing as a Falun Gong practitioner being imprisoned and tortured in China in order to raise public awareness. The red stains on the white clothing are applied for visual effects to indicate blood. Tortures like this is really happening in China."

This anti-torture re-enactment was held by Falun Gong practitioners in Dortmund, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany on August 22, 2009. In addition to the re-enactment of the Chinese Communist Party's torture methods and a poster display on the persecution, practitioners talked with passersby about the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Four German girls stopped in front of the display boards. After learning about the persecution in China, they asked the practitioners, "What can we do?"

After signing the petition, the four girls walked over to the anti-torture display. One practitioner told them in English his own story of being tortured with electric batons by the police in a Chinese labour camp. One of the girls who could speak English translated the story into German for her friends. The girls were shocked and saddened.

A German man passed by on the opposite side of the road. He kept turning around to look at the banners with messages about the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. When realising the event was related to China, he immediately walked toward the Falun Gong table to sign the petition. He told the practitioners that he was fond of Chinese culture and had been to China twice. In Tiananmen Square, he saw many policemen and plainclothes police. He was completely convinced of the CCP's criminal behaviours of harvesting the organs of Falun Gong practitioners for lucrative profits. He said, "China will be free of the CCP soon!"

Among the visitors to the Falun Gong activity was an elderly German couple. They had fled from East Germany to West Germany before the tearing down of the Berlin Wall. With their personal experience, they had a very clear understanding of the nature of the Communist Party. Upon hearing about the CCP's organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, they were indignant at such inhuman treatment. "The West should never have begun trading with the CCP. Trading with the CCP is like transfusing blood to it. Furthermore, westerners should never go to China for illegal organ transplants," they said.

Upon learning about the persecution, a Muslim man expressed his outrage at the violence. He said, "People around the world should stand against this."
