Italy: People of Val d’Arno Happily Learn about Falun Gong

From June 26 to 28 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Florence attended the cultural festival in the city of Val d’arno, bringing the teachings of Falun Gong to the people of this small city.

People learn the truth about Falun Gong

Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises in front of a booth provided by the organiser. They told visitors their own personal cultivation experiences and the improvement in their mind and body by following the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance”. They also exposed the Chinese Communist regime’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

The mayor of Val d’arno came to the Falun Dafa booth to learn about the practice and happily accepted a Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party booklet.

Some children stopped by to learn the exercises after seeing the practitioners’ demonstration. They were given beautiful paper lotus flowers before they left.

Visitors were attracted by the large banner “The World Need Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance”. They listened attentively to the practitioners’ description of their cultivation experiences.

George, a British citizen who owns a house in Italy, told practitioners that he often saw the peaceful demonstrations by Falun Gong practitioners at the Chinese Embassy in London and is very moved by the practitioners’ perseverance. He hadn’t learnt deeply about Falun Gong and the persecution of the practice in China before. This time it was a good opportunity for him to learn the facts more clearly. George was very sad about the Chinese Communist regime’s persecution of innocent people and wished that the persecution would end soon.
