34 Falun Gong Practitioners from Different Countries Barred from Boarding Flights on IcelandAir in Paris

On June 13, 2002, IcelandAir refused to allow 34 Falun Gong practitioners from the US, Canada, France, Australia, and other countries to board its flights in Paris. The reason that IcelandAir gave was that it received orders from the Icelandic government to cancel all booked tickets issued to people on a "list." Similar incidents occurring at airports in London and Baltimore showed that the Icelandic government has not changed its incorrect decision that was made under pressure from Chinese dictator Jiang, but has just transferred its actions to the counters of IcelandAir in different countries in order to alleviate the pressure in Iceland.

Falun Gong practitioners from various countries have being forced to stay in Paris International Airport to hold a hunger strike to protest the Jiang regime's manipulation of the Icelandic government to prevent Falun Gong practitioners from entering Iceland

It has been learned that among the Falun Gong practitioners being refused to board flights on June 13 in the Paris Airport, at least 26 hold US passports, 2 with Canadian passports and there are also French and Chinese citizens. For most of them the short stay in Iceland was to be their last stop in Europe.

The actions of the Icelandic government while under pressure from Jiang and his gang in the Chinese government have now resulted in extended stays by Falun Gong practitioners--of every ethnicity and nationality--at many major airports and cities around the world. This is a unique, historic moment for the forces of justice all over the world to condemn Jiang Zemin's evil persecution in unison, allowing people to find out the truth of Falun Gong directly from Falun Gong practitioners' words and actions all over the world.

At present, Falun Gong practitioners who have been forced into an extended stay on their trips at airports across the world, those who have been inconceivably denied the right to board their flights by IcelandAir at their departing airports, and those who have managed to enter Iceland, are all proactively clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to the local Icelandic embassy or consulate, IcelandAir, Icelandic human rights organizations, Icelandic media, and those practitioners' own local governments, media, human rights organizations and non-government organizations (NGOs).
