On the afternoon of November 13th, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Singapore held a rally in Hong Lim Park, demanding Hu Jintao, head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), to bring an immediate end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China. The rally also called on leaders and people from other countries to help stop the CCP's ten-year-long persecution.

Practitioners held banners with the words "Stop the persecution of Falun Gong", "Falun Dafa is great", "Heaven destructs CCP, heaven protects China", and "Support the 63 million Chinese people who quit the CCP and its associated organisations". They held a sit-in protest in the rain. Some passers-by stopped to take photos and learn more details.
Dr. Huang of the Singapore Falun Dafa Association spoke at the rally. He said, "After ten years, the persecution is still ongoing. Falun Gong practitioners are being arrested, imprisoned, tortured or even killed in China. ... We call on kind-hearted people to help stop the CCP's persecution."
