People in China Are Eager to See the Shen Yun Show

In recent years I have been distributing DVDs of Shen Yun performances. In 2009 alone I produced 5,000 copies. I distributed these DVDs to different many different groups of people, including those who had already seen Shen Yun shows in previous years and knew it was pure and elegant. Whenever I saw them, they ordered DVDs early, such as friends and relatives, people at different social occasions with me, as well as those with a predestined relationship. My general impression is that, in today's world, though people are busy, they still have a desire to pursue a noble spiritual life and pure traditional arts. They love, support, and bless Shen Yun, and they also eagerly anticipate the successful staging of Shen Yun in China.

Recently, Shen Yun was forced to cancel its performances in Hong Kong due to the denial of visas for several key technical staff. The news shocked the people of Hong Kong and the rest of the world. People from various circles in Hong Kong held rallies and parades to "Protect Shen Yun and Protect Hong Kong".

According to Internet reports, six students from Shanghai originally planned to go to Hong Kong to see Shen Yun during their winter vacation. Because of the Hong Kong government's obstructive tactic, they had to cancel their trip. All together they lost 20,000 yuan. One of them said regrettably, "Shen Yun Performing Arts has a first class professional technical team. Does it really need the Hong Kong government to tell it where to find technicians? Not to mention that the announcement that those visas were being denied was made only days before the date of the first performance. What kind an underhanded trick. I can only use 'shameless' and 'despicable' to describe this government. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has done something ridiculous again and has became a laughing stock of the world. I believe that in the not-too-distant future, Shen Yun will not only perform in Hong Kong but also in the mainland. Every city in China will stage Shen Yun just like in the rest of the world does now. Shen Yun is a priceless Chinese treasure and the essence of art. It belongs to China. I will forever support Shen Yun. I will support Shen Yun for ten thousand years."

It seems that it's not hard for people to see through the shameless tricks played by the CCP in preventing Shen Yun from performing. For many people, Shen Yun is within reach, but others have no chance of seeing it. I can imagine their disappointment. As I write this, I can remember a specific occasion when I was distributing Shen Yun DVDs.

Before a gathering of my classmates, I very carefully burned some Shen Yun DVDs and made sure that those classmates, especially those that came from other provinces, could see the Shen Yun performance. I printed a DVD cover with an orange design and put them into plastic boxes. They looked very professional. When my classmates arrived, I briefly talked about the Shen Yun performances and how the company tours around the world. Then I distributed the DVDs. Those who got one were overjoyed, so I took the opportunity to talk about what I had learned about Shen Yun. However, I was short one DVD, so one of my classmates was empty handed and I had no time to go back to get one for him. He envied the others who had gotten a DVD and regretted having to miss out. I felt terribly bad for failing to bring enough DVDs and said to him, "I am so sorry. I regret that I failed to bring enough DVDs so that you could see Shen Yun. But don't worry. I will make a copy for you as soon as possible and then send it to you through the mail."

He replied, "Very well. I have been admiring Shen Yun for quite some time. A show of this nature is my favourite and is most precious. Ah, it seems that I did not come to this party for nothing!" His mood of loneliness and depression was swept away and he instantly cheered up. The whole party was full of happiness and laughter.

Now, wherever I go, visiting friends and relatives or going to parties, I always bring DVDs of Shen Yun performances. I also use all kinds of opportunities to hand out Shen Yun performance DVDs. This has become a very important part of my daily life.

In China today, Shen Yun Performing Arts is spreading like wildfire. While distributing DVDs, I witness the pride and joy of those who have been fortunate enough to see the show that reflects the traditions of our Chinese nation.

CCP interference and obstructions will only help people to see its evil nature more clearly. The great success of Shun Yun has already spread far and wide in China and abroad. During the years that I have distributed Shen Yun DVDs, people's expectations and love of Shen Yun repeatedly touched me. Like many others, I sincerely look forward to the day when Shen Yun will be staged in China and hope Shen Yun will set foot on this land, which has a history of over five thousand years, at an early date. Let the people in this divine land see Shen Yun with their own eyes as soon as possible and let the traditional divine culture be carried forward.
