On Thursday, June 13, four Swiss and two Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioners met with Hong Kong Catholic Bishop Joseph Zen. They had a very cordial, interesting conversation. The topic centred around the possibility that Bishop Zen might be able to intervene for the 16 accused practitioners who had been indicted by the Hong Kong authorities on May 14th, 2002 for staging a hunger strike in front of one of the governmental buildings.
The Swiss Conference of Bishops had already been informed of this meeting. The churchs decision is pending.
