A shopping centre may not be a usual location for an art exhibition. However, Iulius Shopping Centre in the city of Suceava, Romania, was most pleased to host the Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition. The exhibition has been displayed at three venues in Romania so far, with the most recent exhibition at Suceava Mall in February.
Initially scheduled for 2 weeks, the exhibition was such a great success that it was extended for one week more.

At the opening of the exhibition, three well known local artists- Mihai Pinzaru, Ovidiu Ambrozie Bortã and Cãtãlin Chifan spoke about the pictures, explaining that "art has an extraordinary force to convey a message" and "this is an exhibition that shakes anyone inside" (Mihai Pinzaru). Cãtãlin Chifan said, "The shocking images reflect an overpowering realism."
"If only one single artist is humiliated or persecuted like that in China, then we, and all artists around the world are affected by this. If only one good person is killed like that, we, all humanity are in danger," said Mihai Panzaru, who was deeply impressed by the paintings and the story of Falun Dafa in China.
Visitors' reactions varied from compassion to dismay, and from deep concern to shock. Some found beauty in the pictures and in the principles of Falun Dafa, some were moved to tears. Many couldn't imagine that such persecution takes place nowadays and asked how they could help.
Over 600 people signed the petition against the persecution of Falun Gong and some returned to the exhibition a second or third time with friends and relatives, wanting to know more about Falun Dafa.
The exhibition was such a success that the mall organizers offered to put local practitioners in contact with their colleagues in other cities to discuss bringing the exhibit to their facilities.
