I'm a peasant woman and started to practice Falun Gong in 1999. Before that time, I had many diseases, including prolapse of lumbar intervertebral discs, rheumatoid arthritis, sciatica, and neurasthenia. All of my diseases disappeared after I started cultivating. My family members also obtained the Fa in succession afterwards. Before July 20, 1999 all of my immediate family practiced cultivation.
I still remember the scene of when I first obtained the Fa. It was in February 1999. In order to spread the Fa, my aunt, who had already started practicing Falun Gong, invited many people to do the exercises together. Because the house was small, we went outside, hung up a Falun Gong banner, played the exercise music, and then learned to do the exercises. The township government building was located right next to our house. Officials were holding a meeting at that time. They thought that our music was too loud and took away our banner and music player. My aunt then went to talk with them. The other practitioners couldn't wait and left. I was the only one who still waited there.
My aunt came back after a long time. Seeing that I was still there, she asked me, "Why didn't you leave?" I said, "I haven't finished learning the exercises!" At that time, I only thought about learning Falun Gong, without anything else in mind. I would not leave until I finished learning the exercises. Then I obtained the Fa. My belief in Master and Dafa has never wavered since that day.
Dafa Changed Me into a Good Person
Before I practiced cultivation, my relationship with my father-in-law was not good. After I practiced cultivation, I changed a lot. I stopped treating my father-in-law as poorly as I previously did; instead, I actively took care of him. The weather was very dry one year, and people in the village often argued over the limited water. My family lived right beside the pond, but we didn't grow rice. A village cadre saw this and found it strange. He asked, "Whose family is this? Why don't they grow rice since they live right beside the pond?" I answered, "It's mine. The reason that I didn't grow rice is that I want to leave the water for people who need it more than I need to grow rice. My family members can go out to earn money to support ourselves. However, some neighbours can't make a living if they can't grow rice." The change in me from practicing cultivation was noticed by everyone in the village. It is Master and Dafa that caused me to change into a good person.
I was Subjected to Harsh Persecution Five Times
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute practitioners in July 1999. Without notifying my husband, I went to Beijing with another practitioner right away. Before I left, I told my daughter, "If I don't come back after one week, you can go to Beijing if you want. If you cannot return, then your brother can also go if he wants."
After I arrived in Beijing, we connected with a local practitioner on the street; it happened by instinct, as I was unfamiliar with the place and the people there. The other practitioner and I were arranged to live in a house. Many practitioners stayed together there at that time. Every day, local practitioners came to provide food, and there were practitioners constantly validating the Fa in Tiananmen Square.
I also went to Tiananmen Square one day. However, before I could say anything, police officers arrested me. I was sent to a place in a suburb of Beijing. More than a thousand practitioners were detained in a small compound. We then recited Master's Hong Yin together. Our voices resounded throughout the area, and the guards hurried to close all the windows and doors. I still remember that touching scene. Afterwards, I was transferred to the local detention centre and detained there for more than one month. I went on a hunger strike for four days and suffered force-feeding once. Because my husband asked people for help, and because he signed for me to give up practicing cultivation and paid money, I was released.
At the end of April 2000, officials from the local government deceived my husband and me into going to their office, where they arrested us, saying that it was to prevent us from going to Beijing to appeal. At that time, the police arrested six practitioners from four families. The police didn't give us any food. My son came to bring food to us, but he was also arrested just for saying that he came to provide food for practitioners. The police tortured my son in front of me. They handcuffed him and made him jump like a frog. I ended up being persecuted for half a month. After other practitioners were released, my aunt and I were detained in a detention centre for ten days.
In October 2000, another practitioner and I were reported to police while we distributed truth-clarifying materials with two other practitioners, and then we were arrested. We were put into the detention centre for more than one month, and then we were sentenced to one year of imprisonment. We then went on a hunger strike together. Twelve days later, the police released us.
In April 2001, a local CCP official found truth-clarifying materials and a satellite dish at my home. They asked me where the materials came from, but I did not tell them. Then the police handcuffed me and severely beat me. They tortured me for three days and nights and forbade me to sleep. I was detained for 150 days and then subjected to one-and-a-half years of forced labour.
When I was sent to the Shayang Forced Labour Camp the first time, I went on a hunger strike nine days in advance. I kept on reciting Hong Yin and Master's Fa on the way there. It was very hot then. The police officers who took me there kept drinking water. Noticing that I didn't drink anything after having been on a hunger strike for nine days, they seemed surprised. Once I arrived at the Shayang Forced Labor Camp, I was diagnosed with heart disease, and they refused to accept me. I knew that it was Master protecting me.
After I was sent back to the detention centre, I started a second round of hunger strikes. I continued it for 17 days this time. The guards force-fed me every other day. In addition, they forcibly gave me an intravenous drip with a high concentration of salt water, which caused me to be very thirsty.
When I was sent to the Shayang Forced Labour Camp a second time, I was diagnosed with a skin disease and was again denied entry. Then I went on a hunger strike for five days. Several practitioners who were detained with me took care of me and recited the Fa with me. Practitioners outside of the labour camp also sent righteous thoughts to rescue me. Finally, I got out of the detention centre.
In May 2008, three practitioners and I were reported to police while distributing truth-clarifying materials. The police then came to arrest us. I didn't follow their instructions, so a male police officer grabbed my hair and slammed my head into a wall more than ten times. The other practitioners also suffered severe beatings. This time I was sentenced to two years of forced labour. After we were held in the detention centre for more than one month, we went on a hunger strike for 24 days, and then we were released.
My Aunt Dies After We Are Both Subjected to Persecution
Three months after I returned home, CCP agents again went to my home to arrest me. My aunt, who helped me obtain the Fa, was also arrested. The persecution this time was very severe. My aunt ended up dying. I broke through with the care of Master and was able to write down how the evil persecuted me.
This time I went on a hunger strike starting on September 5. My aunt joined me, and we continued to do so until September 24. Then, the officers started to torture my aunt with force-feeding. They made us sit down, asked several prisoners to stand on our knees, grab our hair, and pull us backwards. Then the guards used fire pokers to open our mouths, and let the head of the detention centre feed us. My aunt went into shock at once because the food was put into her windpipe. However, officials at the detention centre didn't do anything to revive my aunt. They directly sent her body to the freezer. Actually my aunt could have been saved if they had performed a tracheotomy. My aunt was actually younger than me. She was only 44 years old when she was killed. When she was alive, her steps covered every corner of the villages around our area in order to spread the Fa.
On the same day that my aunt was killed, I was also force-fed, and my body became very weak. The only thing I could do was breathe. Officials there couldn't find my pulse. After my aunt passed away, officials in the detention centre were afraid that I would die too, so I was sent to the hospital. I was in the hospital for more than ten days. I couldn't move or speak. However, my mind was clear. I kept on reciting the Fa while ill in bed. Every day, I kept vomiting. In the end, I even vomited black bile. Doctors thought that no one could save me. In order to avoid having me die there, they asked my family members to take me home on October 4.
After I got out of detention this time, friends and relatives came to visit me. My father-in-law said, "No one can save you except Master!" My husband, a practitioner, also remained steadfast in his belief that I could come through even though I was persecuted very severely this time.
I stopped vomiting after I returned home, and I was able to have some tofu. Gradually I could drink some soup and then could have rice. Seven days later, I fully recovered, thanks to benevolent Master. It is You who protected me again and again to break through the evil's persecution.
In the process of overcoming the persecution, I have become more resolute in my belief in Master and Dafa, and I feel that my body and heart has been purified to a high level. My family moved away from our hometown. We are still saving sentient beings as well as doing work for others.
