Improving Oneself While Reciting the Fa

I have been encouraged by fellow practitioners' articles on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website. As such, I have been able to keep up with reciting the Fa. One year has passed since I started to do this. Below I have summarized the benefits based on my understanding.

1. Understanding the Fa Principles and Learning to Take the Fa as Teacher
Initially, I went down a crooked path. Later, I gradually matured and learned to how to use the Fa as the guide when I encountered things. When I recite the Fa, many problems I could not solve before, no matter how hard I tried, are solved naturally. By continuously reciting the Fa and looking inward, I felt my mind has been expanded more and more. When I read Teacher's Fa lectures before, there was much content that I did not quite understand, such as the structure of the cosmos. I always understood the Fa based on human notions. I had the feeling that last time Teacher taught the structure of the cosmos one way, then the next time he taught it another way. I also did not completely understand the old forces' arrangements and how they manifested themselves during the Fa-rectification. I had many questions like these. As I continued to recite the Fa, I found that the puzzles I had before were all solved. My mind became peaceful and I became more steady. I had inner strength when I talked, and I naturally knew to look inward and find the shortcomings in my xinxing (character, heart and mind nature). I understood that it is also improvement if my heart isn't moved by interference. I also understood that I need to become mature in the Fa and look at things from multiple perspectives. Those are definitely understandings that I did not have before.

2. The Surrounding Environment Changed for the Better

I felt that my xinxing had improved very quickly during my cultivation. I also felt that the surrounding environment also changed dramatically. My ability at work improved dramatically and I felt that Teacher had opened up my wisdom and had given me a firm push forward. I could successfully finish many difficult tasks.

For example, even though I was a teacher, I was shy and was afraid of talking in front of strangers. After the persecution of Falun Dafa started, I lost my job, and I started a sales job. Each time I felt I could not continue to do the work my job required, some things happened to help me turn the corner. My ability at work improved with the improvement of my xinxing. All kinds of things changed in beneficial ways for me. I knew that all of these were given by Teacher. I could only thank Teacher and feel very fortunate that I had acquired the Fa.

While I was reciting Teacher's lectures, I felt I very happy. I cannot describe my feeling when I see that some practitioners still eagerly hope for the end of the Fa-rectification. The Fa-rectification will come to an end one day. The persecution on Falun Dafa will end, too. But do we realize the preciousness of the current time? We must assimilate to Falun Dafa, urge ourselves forward, save more sentient beings, and make the best use of the precious time left to fulfill our oaths. These are the most important things for us!

3. Do Not Be Attached to the End of the Persecution, Cherish the Current Time More

Because of the persecution, many practitioners have the attachment of fear. It is actually a manifestation of immaturity in our cultivation. Teacher said he does not acknowledge the old forces' arrangements, so we should not acknowledge the old forces' persecution, either. The reason we are persecuted by the old forces and have walked the ways arranged by old forces is that we do not have righteous thoughts, we do not do things according to Teacher's requirements, and we are not willing to give up our attachments. Since we have already learned from those lessons, we should become mature in the Fa, recite the Fa more often, look inward when we have difficulties, and not be moved by any kind of interference. To acknowledge the old forces' arrangements is to not look inward since the persecution started. We must deny the old forces' arrangement during the persecution. To deny the old forces' arrangement is very simple. If we get rid of all the attachments we should get rid of, do the three things well with righteous thoughts, and use righteous thoughts to face everything we encounter, we are naturally walking on the path that Teacher arranged for us. We have Teacher's law bodies to protect us. The old forces will not be able to take advantage of us anymore.

During the process of reciting the Fa, a few times I planned to give up. Sometimes I recited very slowly. Sometimes I could not recite with a calm mind, and I felt that my mind was calmer while reading the Fa. Sometimes I felt it would take a very long time to recite the whole book and I lost my confidence. These forms of interference even made me stop reciting the Fa for a short time. But when I did, fellow practitioners encouraged me, or I read Minghui articles regarding how others had kept up with reciting the Fa. Then I could continue. Right now, my mind is very firm and I know that there is nothing that can keep me from reciting the Fa. Teacher has already eliminated the factors that tried to stop me.

4. Allowing Me to Participate in More Truth-Clarification Projects

Before, I limited myself to handing out truth-clarification materials or clarifying the truth face to face, but I felt my words had no strength. Whenever the person I was talking to questioned me, I felt I had nothing to say in reply. I felt that I was lacking confidence, and I was very worried about it. As I have recited the Fa and looked inward, my mind has expanded more and more. I can clearly feel that Teacher has opened up my wisdom. I can speak calmly but very wisely, and the strength of what I say is much greater than before. I can also clarify the truth in many different ways, such as using cellphones to send messages, leaving voice mails, persuading people to quit the CCP face to face, and providing informational materials to small group of practitioners. I also attend group Fa-study and see many respected fellow practitioners. In this group environment, practitioners have shared experiences and learned from each other. My heart is touched, and I have started to further improve myself.

I not only recite Zhuan Falun but also Teacher's recent articles. I think Teacher's articles after July 20, 1999 have taught us the Fa-principles regarding Fa-rectification. After I recited the articles, I understood a lot regarding the relationship among Fa-rectification, the old forces, and saving sentient beings. Because my level is limited, I could not fully understand the Fa principles of Fa-rectification while reading Zhuan Falun. So I started to recite Teacher's articles, and I right away understood many things that I did not understand before. Actually we should not worry about how slow or fast we recite the Fa. As long as we keep on reciting the Fa, we will benefit.
