On July 20, 2010, Falun Gong practitioners in Dortmund, Germany and the surrounding areas held activities to expose the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on the eleventh anniversary of the persecution.
Passersby are shocked by the brutal persecution and want to find out more. |
The activities were held on a busy street on a nice day. Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and re-enacted torture methods used by the CCP. Passersby stopped to asked about Falun Gong and the persecution. Many people said the crimes should stop immediately, and signed petitions calling for an end to the persecution. Some wanted to learn Falun Gong.
Wolfgang had seen Falun Gong practitioners' activities last year, but he hadn't learned too much about the persecution until today. He was astonished to find out from the brochure that at least one hundred thousand Falun Gong practitioners have been imprisoned in jails and labour camps. He thinks the U.N. should pass resolutions to stop the crimes, and that nobody should do business with the CCP. If nobody cooperates with it, the persecution won't be able to continue.
Two Falun Gong practitioners at the activity were from China and have personally experienced physical and psychological torture. One of them was forced to weave sweaters all day sitting on a stool in a confined room. The other one was locked up in a small cell. She had to drink the water in the sewer when she was thirsty.
Upon seeing the torture exhibition, a passerby said, "These Falun Gong practitioners are treated like animals in China. But the persecutors themselves are actually the inhuman beasts."
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu was kept busy with the activity. She hopes more people will learn the facts of Falun Gong and see through the CCP's lies. She learned the true story of the "self-immolation on Tiananmen Square" from a DVD. She said, "Those who know the true story will know who is righteous and who is evil."
Background
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a traditional Chinese spiritual discipline for mind and body. The practice involves slow, gentle movements and meditation. It is easy to learn, enjoyable to practice, and free of charge. Its principles are based on Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The practice began in China in 1992 and quickly spread by word of mouth throughout China and then beyond. Its beneficial effects in uplifting an individual's physical, mental, and spiritual health, not to mention its positive influence in the community and society as a whole, have been undeniable. In fact, Falun Gong is practised by over 100 million people in 60 countries. The main works of Falun Gong are available in over 30 languages.
On July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched a brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Since the start of the persecution, Falun Gong practitioners throughout the world have been constantly speaking out about the truth of Falun Gong and exposing the CCP's crimes in a tireless effort to end the persecution.
