On August 15th, the Boston India Day event was held at the Hatch Memorial Shell, celebrating the 63rd anniversary of India's independence. Local Falun Gong practitioners participated in the event for the second time. They demonstrated the peaceful exercises and exposed the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Many tourists stopped by the Falun Gong booth. They learned about the practice and the persecution in China as practitioners answered their questions and passed out various Falun Gong materials. Some also learned how to fold the intricate, beautiful paper lotus flowers that practitioners were handing out.
