On the afternoon of December 28, 2010, the German-speaking Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference was held in Wewelsburg, Germany. Eight Western and Chinese Falun Gong practitioners shared their Fa-rectification cultivation experiences.
Coordinate well, do not blame each other
Andre is a member of a coordination team in Bregenz. He described how to get rid of prejudice against other fellow practitioners during a coordination process. He also gained an understanding of unconditional cooperation through experience in advertising.
Andre realized that one of the major factors of their success was that none of the practitioners blamed each other or thought that others made a mistake. No one wanted to gain anything, they just wanted to do the work well. No matter what the circumstances, miracles will happen when practitioners are able to coordinate with each other unconditionally.
From computer illiteracy to helping Master’s Fa-rectification by using computers
Ms. Cai is almost 60 years old. In order to be involved in a Fa-validation project, she got rid of her antipathy toward computers and acquired computer skills. At first she just wanted to learn what she had to learn and nothing more. Later, finding that computers could really make a difference in saving sentient beings, she made her mind up to learn more. By overcoming difficulties, upgrading her character, and really grasping computer skills, she got rid of her aversion to computers completely and gained confidence. From simple Internet access, sending e-mails, and Chinese character typing, to handling articles from web pages and inserting videos into web pages, her computer skills have become a useful tool in assisting Master’s Fa-rectification.
See more of other practitioners' good points
Another practitioner assumed the responsibility of newspaper page-layout staff training, and many of his attachments were exposed in this job. For example, he unconsciously formed a concept that his layouts were better than anyone else's, habitually looking at others' mistakes, rather than looking at their good points, and eventually no longer trusting other fellow practitioners’ work. He had to carefully review their work, and this put a lot of pressure on them, making it hard for them to cooperate with each other. When he got feedback from a staff person, saying that she felt like she was being tied up, he began to search inwardly and to see his own attachments. He right away let up on his criticism of others' work and offered them more freedom. To his surprise, the quality of the layouts got better, with fewer and fewer errors. He came to see that others had a lot of strong points. In many aspects they had originally possessed many creative ideas, and now they were free to display them. Everyone has their own strengths, and employees complement each other.
Searching inwardly without any condition attached
Stefan described how he and another practitioner organized a bus to take 50 people to another city for a Shen Yun performance. During this process, he gave up many human concepts and suspicions and eventually had good results. As a new practitioner who has been cultivating for just for a few years, he is increasingly able to see how great Dafa disciples are—everyone is doing things to save sentient beings. Some practitioners regularly clarify the facts to Chinese tourists to help them withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations year round, others successfully organized buses to take people to Shen Yun performances in other cities, still others clarify the truth to politicians, and so on. As their “fellow practitioner,” Stefan is very very grateful from bottom of his heart.
Get rid of the attachment of fear
Ms. Wang shared her experience of organizing articles for a Fa conference. Each time she received a manuscript, she had to decide if the content was suitable to be read at the conference. At first, Ms. Wang had many concerns, "If I delete this paragraph and the practitioner asks me why, should I directly point out his attachment, saying that this paragraph is validating himself and blaming others, rather than validating Dafa? Will he be able to accept that? Isn’t each practitioner working for Dafa? Will he argue with me? I am not familiar with him, I do not even know him, will he say that I am being too arbitrary?” Then a fellow practitioner said to her, "You have to be responsible to the Fa conference." This made Ms. Wang realize that the attachments of fear and to her herself had to take a back seat to assuring article quality for the Fa conference.
From passively to actively assisting Master's Fa-rectification
Ms. Yang recalled organizing the 2009 and 2010 Shen Yun performances. She once felt it hard to communicate with practitioners in other cities. Many times she asked Master in front of his portrait, “Master, why am I asked to do this? There are many fellow practitioners with better abilities than mine; must I do it?” She also complained from time to time, “I've spoken with that person so many times, but it still won't work. Now I have to speak to him again. Why can't he understand what I said?” Master requires us to form a unified whole to work. Unwilling to fall short of Master’s requirements, Ms. Yang had to communicate with practitioners in other cities. One day she suddenly realized that, on her path of validating the Fa, she had been very passive, letting Master “push” her. Thinking of how we are on the earth simply to assist Master’s Fa-rectification, her attitude changed from being passive to being active. When facing problems, she is now able to speak to Master in her heart, “No problem, I'll do it.”
Let go of the attachment to getting recognition
The chief fine art editor of the German Epoch Times recalled that when she had just started the job, she was very anxious to get recognition from other staff members. She hoped that everyone would tell her that everything she did was correct. If her work or she herself was ever criticized, she was in a bad mood, unable to listen to criticism, and became over excited. This then affected the work, causing a vicious cycle. Through Fa-study, she realized that she always regarded other people's criticism of her work as a personal attack on herself. Seeking others approval had become an attachment. She gradually got rid of selfishness and did not regard the criticism as personal grievances against her. Now she is able to discover her own shortcomings.
After the Fa conference, many practitioners said that they had learned a lot from the articles read. For instance, they see that practitioners' righteous belief in Master exerts a positive influence on Fa-validation projects; they see how to really search inward. Some other examples, such as practitioners’ making breakthroughs and letting go of their ego, were also inspirational.
