Taiwan: Practitioners Clarify the Truth About Falun Gong to Tourists from China

During the Chinese New Year holiday of 2011, Falun Gong practitioners clarified the truth to tourists from China, who went to Miyueguan Restaurant on Mituo Road in Jiayi, Taiwan. Practitioners held up banners about high-ranking officials and celebrities in China who have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). A practitioner holding a banner reading “Falun Dafa Is Great” in the cold wind said, “We hope people from China will find out the true story of Falun Dafa and choose a bright future for themselves.”

Ever since Taiwan and China opened their doors to each other, many tourists from China have visited Taiwan. Those who tour Ali Mountain will pass by the city of Jiayi. Many of these tourists go to restaurants along the highway near Ali Mountain around dinner time.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Huang comes to join the truth-clarification activity with his fellow practitioners after he gets off work every day. Today he told one of the tourists about improvements in his health after he started practising Falun Gong, and about the persecution of Falun Gong. He gave the tourist a copy of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and helped him quit the CCP. Mr. Huang said happily, “More and more people from China have learned the facts about Falun Gong. Close to ninety million people have quit the CCP or its affiliated organisations.”

In the past year, several local Falun Gong practitioners have begun standing outside the restaurant to clarify the facts to tourists every day. They hang a “Falun Dafa is Great” banner on a tree and put copies of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and other truth-clarification materials on a chair for people to take. Hundreds of copies of truth-clarification materials are taken every month.

As tourists board their bus after dinner, Falun Gong practitioners hold up their display boards and banners, and shout while waving at tourists, “Please remember that Falun Dafa is great!” Practitioners remind the tourists about Dafa’s benefits and the brutal persecution. Many tourists wave back at them.

One practitioner said, “Many tourists from China are very kind-hearted, but some of them have been deceived by the CCP. That's why we should continue telling them the facts.”
