At that time, the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] of Yushu City, Jilin Province, launched a large-scale campaign to persecute practitioners. Mass arrests were conducted for over forty hours. Over one hundred practitioners were illegally kidnapped. In the afternoon of March 11, when Li Shuying returned home, she was kidnapped by the local policemen Wang Yizhang, Zhao Guanghui and two others, who had been following her, all from Yushu City Peiying Street Police Substation. They took away Dafa books and Teacher Li' [the founder of Falun Dafa] pictures. Li Shuying was then jailed, and on April 4, 2002, she was illegally sentenced to forced labour camp again. She is currently being held at Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp, Changchun City. Li Shuying has been on hunger strike since she was arrested.
In the morning of May 9, 2002, when Li Shuying' two brothers went to visit her, the police at the Heizuizi Labour Camp deliberately detained them and threatened them for 5 hours, forcing them to take responsibility and assume the consequences of Li Shuying being on hunger strike. The police forced them to sign some documents before they were released. The same thing happened to Han Yuzhu, a female practitioner from Yushu City in Qingshan County who was tortured to death at the Weizigou Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City. Han' family members were also forced to sign some documents. However, then the policemen began to torture her with no conscience at all as though they were no longer responsible.
During her hunger strike, Li Shuying was transferred to Jilin Province Forced Labour Camp Hospital. At the hospital, her family members asked the public procurator who worked there when she would be released, and he replied: "she will never be released." To the time of the posting of this article, Li Shuying has been on hunger strike for 100 days.
Suffering alongside Li Shuying is another female Falun Dafa practitioner called Jin Min from Panshi City in Jilin Province. She began a hunger strike around March 14, and was then sent to the Jilin Province Labour Camp Hospital as well. As the Heizuizi labour camp couldn' afford their medical expenses they brought them back. Her mother was forced to sign some documents related to taking responsibility and assuming any consequences of her daughter' hunger strike. Other Falun Dafa practitioners are suffering similar forms of brutal persecution.
