On June 4th, 2011, Falun Gong practitioners in Sacramento, California were invited to participate in the Dragon Boat Festival, hosted by the local Taiwanese Association. The practitioners set up a booth where they offered traditional snacks and introduced Falun Gong to people.
One gentleman said upon seeing the practitioners’ booth, “Even though I don’t practise Falun Gong, I admire you!”
A woman bought the book Zhuan Falun after listening to a practitioner’s recommendation. She said that she believed in Buddha and felt very drawn to the book upon hearing the title.
Another man stopped by, who often talks to practitioners when he sees them distributing flyers in public places. This time, he said that he would download the Falun Dafa books from the Internet.
At this event, many of the festival participants came to know more about the beauty of Falun Dafa, as well as the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa. A number of people bought Falun Gong books and Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.
