The annual two-day Independence Day celebration in the City of Carmel, Indiana is the largest celebration in the local area. On July 3rd-4th, 2011, local Falun Gong practitioners participated in a parade and established a display to help spread information about Falun Dafa.

The parade was the peak of the celebration. To get a good spot to view the parade, some people placed their chairs a day prior. The Falun Gong practitioners’ procession was led by a banner worded “Falun Dafa,” followed by a float, and banners introducing Falun Gong. Many audience members exclaimed, “Falun Dafa. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Graceful.” Some waved their hands and applauded, and many read aloud the words on the banners.
During the two-day information display, practitioners introduced Falun Dafa to visitors. Some of the visitors left phone numbers and email addresses so they could obtain more information. More than sixty people signed up to learn Falun Gong.
