On December 11, 2011, one day after International Human Rights Day, Sweden's Support Human Rights in China (SHRIC) organization held a conference on Fair Trade at the Stockholm Convention Centre. At the same time, it set up a booth at the Fair Trade Christmas Market to expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) crimes of suppressing human rights and to remind people that many hand-made products exported from China to Europe and the U.S. were manufactured by prisoners of conscience held in forced labour camps.
SHRIC invited Falun Gong practitioners to take part in the event held that day. Practitioner representative Mr. Li used his personal experience to expose the CCP's lies, slander and defamation of Falun Gong. He also told people at the Christmas market about the 12-year-long brutal persecution.
Falun Gong practitioners told the audience that numerous practitioners are held in China's forced labour camps every year. They are kind and innocent, but they are illegally detained without any legal procedures, simply because of their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They are forced to do slave labour to make commodities to export to overseas. The CCP agents make profit from them.
Practitioner Mr. Zheng spoke of the CCP's atrocities of large-scale organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. Many people were shocked.
Many guests learned about the persecution and signed the signature collection book prepared by the SHRIC to oppose the CCP's brutal acts of abusing human rights. They also called for more people to pay attention to human rights in China.
