The “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” Art Exhibit visited several townships in Western Australia during December and early January.
From December 26th, 2011 to January 7th, 2012, the art exhibit was held at Denmark township in Western Australia. Over 1,100 local residents and tourists visited the exhibit. On January 9th-15th, the exhibit visited Esperance Township, attracting near 400 visitors.
After visiting the exhibits, many people expressed their support for Falun Gong to the curators, and some started to learn the exercises on-site.
A boy who is studying art brought his friends to the exhibit, and asked a curator to tell them about the practice and its inner meaning. They were deeply impressed by the artistic achievement of the paintings.
A man from Germany came to the exhibit for his second visit. He took a lotus flower and said that he would hang it on top a mirror so that he will remember to pray daily for the end of the persecution.
One couple spent nearly an hour studying captions of each painting. They also offered a curator help to look after the exhibit so that she could take a break. They were very grateful to the practitioners for bringing the truth of the persecution and Falun Gong to local residents.
There was a couple from Geneva who said they worked for the UN Human Rights Commission. They took some materials and said that they would take the information back to Geneva.
There were also two Christians who took information and said that they would ask their church leader to look into the Chinese Communist Party’s human rights abuses.
The Esperance Express, the largest newspaper in Esperance Township, published an article about the exhibit, discussing spirit of the exhibit, what Falun Gong is, and the persecution in China.
