UK: More VIPs Join Friends of Falun Gong

Recently we have more VIPs in the UK who have joined the society and support European Friends of Falun Gong. The following are letters from them to the Vice-Chairman of Friends of Falun Gong Europe, Mr. John Dee.

In the context of my commitment to human rights, I naturally take the grim predicament of Falun Gong practitioners very seriously. You should certainly regard me as somebody to whom you can turn on specific occasions, or about specific issues.

I am concerned with the repressive attitude of the Chinese authorities to Falun Gong practitioners and would be happy to add my name as a supporter of your organisation.

Thank you for your recent letter and invitation to support the Association of European People Supporting the Freedom of Belief of Falun Gong Practitioners in China.

The freedoms of speech, religion and association are ones that we take very much for granted. In many other parts of the world the same rights do not exist, and in our position it is only proper that we should do all that we can to assist. Tolerance and understanding is the only way forward.
