In Budapest, the capital of Hungary, Falun Dafa practitioners held two information days on July 20 and 21 to inform people about the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China, and to commemorate the practitioners who were killed by the Chinese Communist regime.
On July 20th the practitioners first went to the Chinese Embassy in Budapest to hold up banners, with such messages as "S.O.S. Stop the persecution of Falun Dafa in China" and "The Chinese Communist Party will collapse, the persecution of Falun Gong will be stopped." After the demonstration, they went to the Parliament Building, where they held a candlelight memorial, with pictures of the victims of the persecution. They wore white clothing, the colour of mourning in China. Many of the people walking by stopped and looked at the pictures, and were moved to sign a petition to stop the persecution. The policemen on duty came over to accept informational materials.
On July 21, the practitioners went to Vorosmarty Square, for another information day. They used banners to give details of the brutal persecution in China, and also to show what a wonderful practice Falun Dafa is. Practitioners wearing golden exercise suits demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. Some people came over to try the exercises with the practitioners. Many people signed the petition to support an end to the persecution.
The information day ended early that evening because of a heavy rainstorm, but the practitioners were touched that the police came over at the end, and asked, "When will you have the next information day? We would like to be there!"
