What Should We Do If People Are Not Convinced? Only Human Hearts Will Become Tired

When trying to save sentient beings, we often come across stubborn people. They understand many things, but most of their understandings are based on the notions of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) culture. If we argue with them, they express their own views, and then we try to convince them and refute their arguments. We often have our line of reasoning when we clarify the truth and always follow that line.

We sometimes just focus on what we want to say, and when we do not pay attention to their receptivity and where their misunderstanding is, then there can be three possible results. The first result, which is the most favourable, is that our reasons convince them, we hold down their words, and they say that they want to know more. The second, which is not as good, is that they are not convinced but do not want to argue with us and neither do they want to change their views. The worst result is that they even feel repulsed by us.

Learning from the perspective of cultivation, I think that it is also the manifestation of "There is no constraint between this qi and that qi." (Zhuan Falun, Lecture 7) When people express their ideas, I often think, "Ah, what he said is wrong. What example should I use to convince him?" When I think that way, I often feel tired from clarifying the truth because I am often stuck in debates, and my strength does not match my ambitions. Actually at this point, my mind has dropped to the level of everyday people.

Master said,

"It is correct to say that wherever there is black qi, there is an illness. Yet the black qi is not the fundamental cause of an illness. It is because there is a being in a deeper dimension who generates this field. So some people talk about discharging and removing the black qi—go ahead and discharge it as you wish! Shortly afterward, it will be generated again, as some beings are very powerful and can retrieve the qi as soon as it is removed; they can retrieve it on their own. Treatments just do not work no matter how they are applied."(Zhuan Falun, Lecture 7)

The reason why people refuse to listen to the truth and have the deeply embedded CCP’s notions is that there are evil elements behind them who are in control. If those elements are eliminated, we can change them with only a few simple words. Then, how can we eliminate the evil elements behind people? My understanding is as follows:

First, we should not use human thinking and should always remain clear-minded. We must understand that what we are doing is for saving lives and not for arguing with them, convincing them, or for accomplishing the task of “persuading them to quit the CCP.”

Secondly, our human minds should not be swayed by ordinary people, especially those attachments that come from sentimentality such as saving face, competitiveness, arrogance, and forcing people to accept our perspectives, among others. Han Xin, a famous general for the first Han emperor Liu Bang, was willing to endure humiliation in order not to kill a life. To save more sentient beings, it is necessary for us to suffer more hardships.

Thirdly, it is important for us to send powerful righteous thoughts whenever possible–in this world and in other dimensions. In this world, we persuade sentient beings with wisdom and compassion. As for other dimensions, we must eliminate evil elements thoroughly.

Master said,

"The beings were quite vicious. Do you think you dare to touch them with an ordinary person’s hands? Besides, you cannot reach it. It will not work without that kind of supernormal ability. This is because in another dimension it will know whatever you want to do—as soon as you think about it. When you try to grab it, it will have already run away. Right when the patient goes out the door, it will go back there immediately, and the illness will recur. Dealing with it requires such a supernormal ability in which one extends one’s hand and “Bam!” nails it there. Upon nailing it there, we have another supernormal ability that was once called the “Great Soul-Catching Method,” and that supernormal ability is even more powerful. It can take out one’s Primordial Spirit, and instantly the person will be unable to move." (Zhuan Falun, Lecture 7 )

Clarifying the truth is completely different from ordinary people’s talking about "political parties" and "faith." What we have are divine thoughts, and what come forth from our mouths are lotus flowers. We use powerful supernormal capabilities to disintegrate the evil elements in people’s minds. To achieve this, we must not use a human mindset while clarifying the truth. Keeping a pure mind with all thoughts that are in line with the Fa, even the stubborn people will be changed. If we consider something that we should not be thinking about but we use human notions such as misgivings, doubts, saving face, or the competitive mentality, etc., then it is just as Master said:

"This is because in another dimension it will know whatever you want to do—as soon as you think about it. When you try to grab it, it will have already run away." (Zhuan Falun, Lecture 7 )

We can not disintegrate evil elements behind people in that manner because then we are just using our qi to fight against their qi. Since many of us are still in delusion, we cannot observe our own supernormal capabilities. However, my understanding is that we can easily operate supernormal capabilities in other dimensions if we maintain a pure mind, keep our thoughts on the Fa, and pay attention to sending forth righteous thoughts in every situation. In addition, Master and upright gods will strengthen us at those moments.

As the layered black shell is being peeled away, the sentient beings whom we are supposed to save will manifest their Buddha nature. In this way, we might be able to save them with only a few words. Our divine thoughts will influence the field around us, which will in turn affect the issues at hand. If we do not underestimate our capabilities then we will be amazed by Dafa's miraculous power.

While truly using righteous thoughts to save sentient beings, we will not feel exhausted at all. The field of benevolence and kindness that surrounds us will influence sentient beings and disintegrate those impure elements. Only human hearts will become tired!
