On July 20, 2012, Falun Dafa practitioners in St. Petersburg, Russia, completed a week-long event at the Finlandski Railway Station Plaza near the Chinese Consulate. It has been 13 years since Falun Dafa practitioners started their endeavours to end the persecution. Just for this occasion, the practitioners had a new version of their fliers printed.

Pictures and display boards at Railway Station Plaza attracted many passersby.

The plaza recently constructed a new musical fountain that attracts many visitors. During the truth-clarification event, the local government agreed to stop the music and assigned police to help maintain order. The policemen assigned to the task read the display boards closely and, as they left, each took a paper lotus flower made by the practitioners.

The practitioners made new display boards that explained the persecution in China. The photos of the candlelight vigils particularly impressed the viewers. Many passersby were shocked to see how practitioners have been tortured. They read the introductions and said it was hard to believe this is still happening in China today. After a young man heard about the harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, he said sincerely, “I will keep them in my prayers.”

A young woman talked to a practitioner for a long time. She said she believed that practitioners were courageous and would have a bright future.

During the week-long activities, practitioners also demonstrated the exercises. Their golden yellow suits and orderly movements attracted many passers by. Some signed the petition calling for an immediate end to the persecution in China. Some asked for more information to learn the exercises, and others wanted to know more about Falun Dafa.
