Italy: Recalling Three Years of Persecution

The choice of the General Consulate site for celebrating such a sad anniversary is not meaningless; a few days before we were slandered and threatened by the "Europe China News" paper in a number of delirious articles. This Consulate and the leaders of the Chinese Associations want to export the persecution to Italy; they have asked the Italian Parliament members to open their eyes and to urge for us the same treatment China reserves to its citizens who practice Falun Dafa.

Why such an obstinate hatred against us? Because proceedings have been taken against them for their repeated slander of Falun Dafa, its founder Mr. Li Hongzhi and its practitioners.

Inside China, we are accused of any kind of crimes, our practitioners undergo severe violations of their human rights, are sent to forced labour camps, tortured, raped and slaughtered. In spite of all of this, nobody has reacted with violence; this is so true that the government itself has had to concoct the "incidents”.

Falun Dafa has spread in more than 55 countries: how is it possible that only in China such violence has happened? Do their minds ever suspect that the Chinese government is lying? Such people are accusing us of being against China, because we are reporting the human rights violations of our practitioners. Who is damaging China’s image? Are the ones who cause the pain or are the ones who denounce such a thing?

These people who are killed, these women who are raped, these children who are left orphaned, aren't they fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, sons and daughters?

Many practitioners do not have Chinese origins: why they do support the human rights of people they do not even know, while those who fight against us turn one's back on their brothers and even claim that it is lawful to punish them so mercilessly?

Perhaps because the westerners have the values of Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance, to safeguard, while the others have no longer something to believe in, not even their human dignity.
