Russia: People are Waiting for Dafa in the Central Region

We are five female Dafa practitioners (the oldest of us is 67 years old, and the youngest is only three and a half). We started the activity of clarifying the truth and spreading the Fa for thousands of miles from the western cities to the central region of Russia. Whether going to villages, small towns, or the capital city of that region, we all felt that the modest Russian people were waiting for Dafa.

The first place we held Hongfa activities was a small town, the hometown of one of us. The people in the town were cordial and sincere. When we practised the exercises, people were eager to take materials. After reading an introduction about Dafa, some said excitedly, "This is exactly what I have looked for my whole life." They keenly wanted to learn the Fa and the practices.

The next stop was the capital city of one Russian Republic. It is a beautiful and clean city with only around one million people. We held activities of spreading the Fa there for two days. The weather was extremely hot. However, with Dafa in our mind, we thought of our great responsibility here. So we started early and went back late. We visited the city government, TV stations, and went around big markets to deliver materials and to do the exercises. Sometimes we could hardly eat a meal in a day, but even the three-year old little disciple did not complain about the hardship. The practitioners' righteous thoughts and righteous deeds brought good effects.

The warm-hearted support of a TV station

The first thing we did in this city was to clarify the truth and spread the Fa to the media, TV station, and the city government. Though the mayor was absent when we went to the city government, the reception personnel received us cordially. They took all the materials and promised to hand them over to the mayor. The person who received us in the TV station happened to be in charge of the department of news. They knew nothing about Falun Gong. He was interested in the introduction made by the practitioners, and pleasantly received the materials. He also warm-heartedly asked us to come back to this city after two weeks. At that time, we will hold a meeting to introduce Dafa and activities of voluntarily teaching the exercises in the central park. The TV station will send reporters to interview us and report the activities.

The Chinese are awakening

There are few Chinese living here. Most of them do some business or some handiwork like making spiked shoes in the market. Everyone we met was glad to take the truth-clarification materials. They automatically took the practitioners to other Chinese people. One guy who made spiked shoes came to ask for materials by himself when seeing us doing the exercises. He even took some more materials for his friends. We told him that he was doing something good. He smiled understandingly, and said, "I know. People should do more good deeds, not bad things."

Friendly policemen

The next day, we went to the biggest central market in this city to spread Fa. In front of the market, there was an open space, where people can park cars. It's also a place that people should pass through towards the market. So we decided to do the exercises and distribute materials there. We spread Fa and clarified the truth to the policemen who maintained the public order. The four local policemen replied in a friendly manner: "It's O.K., as long as you don't obstruct the traffic." This is the region that Muslims gather. At the beginning, one old man confusingly asked us: "Did you give the policemen some money?" The practitioners peacefully told him, "The policemen did not take one bit of money from us. All our activities are voluntary and free." The policemen laughed, and so did other people.

The support of the manager of the market

Because the place belonged to the administration of the market, holding any activities here needs a permit card signed by the manager of the market. People lined up, waiting for the manager to solve their problems. The practitioners patiently sat and waited there. When it was our turn, after listening to our brief introduction, the manager asked us, "How many days do you need?" The practitioners said, "two hours are enough." The manager said, "Then, I'll sign ten days to you!" The security guards of the market were even voluntarily maintaining the order of our practice area. Soon after we started doing the exercises, there came a truck. The guard quickly commanded, "Drive to other places. Don't you see that people are doing exercises here?!"

This was the first time we came to this city. This was also the first time people here could watch such a peaceful and tranquil cultivation practice. Everyone passing here received the Dafa materials. After about one hour, we had distributed 1500 pieces of Dafa material. People interestedly watched us doing the exercises. Many people surrounded us and asked, "How can we get Dafa books? Where can we learn the exercises?" Only after they knew that we would come back to teach the exercises voluntarily, could they leave joyfully.
