Court Holds Illegal Secret Trial to Sentence Innocent Practitioner to Long Prison Term

Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Taimin, a resident of Yitong County, printed Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials to explain the facts of the persecution of Falun Dafa to people. At the end of September 2000 police kidnapped him, and detained him at the Yitong County Detention Centre for Criminals. There they brutally tortured him, and subjected him to mental persecution. Before the hearing, the court blocked all information about the trial. The court did not allow Wang Taimin to have an attorney, and did not notify his family about the trial. The court then sentenced Wang Taimin illegally to four years in prison, and sent him to a prison in Jilin Province.
