Falun Dafa Practitioner of Qionglai City Is Brutally Beaten to Death

On September 16 2002, Falun Dafa practitioner Xue Yuzhen, a female of around 50 years old from Qionglai City, was arrested without a warrant. Two days later on September 18, she was brutally beaten to death.

On the evening of September 16, over one hundred policemen from the Police Bureau of Qionglai City began searching and arresting practitioners and their family members on a large scale. The policemen raided practitioners' homes and confiscated their belongings. When the police came to arrest Xue Yuzhen and forced their way into her home, Xue Yuzhen's husband Wang Shuqing, who does not practise Falun Gong, told the police, "You cannot do these things, this is totally disregarding the law!" Both of them were beaten and arrested. In the Linqiong Police Station, both Xue Yuzhen and her husband were severely beaten for a long time. Xue Yuzhen was beaten to death at 1:30 p.m. on September 18, 2002. Her husband, Wang Shuqing, was beaten until his blood pressure became dangerously high. Mr. Wang is still in the emergency room in the Third Hospital of Qionglai City.
