I was detained by Chaoyang District police in mid December of 2001. I went on hunger strike to protest, but instead of releasing me, five police officers handcuffed me and put shackles around my ankles. They then escorted me to an underground hospital, where I was force-fed through my nose. The underground hospital had very tight security. All the iron gates were locked, and there were watchmen at every corner.
The hospital held mostly Falun Gong practitioners sent here from various police detention centres in Beijing. We were all on hunger strike, demanding our unconditional release. We also protested Jiang's totalitarian regime, which replaces law with dictatorial power, persecutes Falun Dafa, and deprives us of basic human rights and freedom.
"Our hospital has become a concentration camp for Falun Gong practitioners," a head nurse said. "It has been going on for more than two years already. Falun Gong practitioners on hunger strike are being sent here every day. Some of them are over eighty years old. In the middle of the night, the police officers on duty use electric batons to shock Falun Gong practitioners. They apply electric shocks to the face, the palms, the backs of the hands, and the bottom of the feet. They use hard rubber batons to beat Falun Gong practitioners on hunger strike. What is going on with all of you Falun Gong practitioners? Why did you come to Beijing?"
We introduced Falun Dafa to the medical personnel, and we also explained to them the truth about Falun Gong and the facts on the persecution. We told them that we were all healthy people and should not be staying in such a place (the hospital).
The evil police told us to cooperate with the force-feeding. They also threatened to cuff us on steel beds for receiving electric shocks if we did not cooperate. Beijing Falun Gong practitioner Zhou Yinhong was almost killed while being intubated by an evil doctor. Evil police captain Wang would kneel on top of a Falun Gong practitioner, pull the practitioner's hair tight, and pry open the month for intubation. Due to prolonged hunger strike, some Falun Gong practitioners vomited out bile while being tortured. But the police still did not release them.
Sometimes six or seven police officers would surround one Falun Gong practitioner. They would secure the practitioner's head by pulling his/her hair tight, and then they would intubate through the nose. Many practitioners fainted during such treatment. Screams filled the cold, dark, and frightening underground chamber everyday. Nurses came in to draw large amounts of blood from Falun Gong practitioners around five o'clock in the morning every day. "We specifically draw Falun Gong practitioners' blood," the police said. "It is your own fault for handing out flyers in Beijing. We will incinerate your body if you are dead. No one will investigate the cause. This is a direct order from President Jiang."
We solemnly advise the police and medical personnel in charge of the underground hospital to not be used by Jiang as tools for persecution. Falun Gong practitioners are good people. People who do good will be rewarded, but people who do evil will face evil in the end.
